Slim Microfibre MacBook Sleeve
MacBook sleeve is a tight fit for Apple's professional-grade laptop. Fortunately, since it fits like a glove, the laptop is secure inside and the owner doesn't have to worry about it slipping out since there is no fixture to hold it in otherwise. The materials used to create the sleeve are soft and luxurious, but a departure from Harber London's usual leather goods. The price is higher than other fabric-based sleeves.

MacBook Sleeve has a unique style and elegant design.
When it comes to cases and sleeves, I typically stay away from them. I keep my phone case-less most of the time and I’m typically only using my laptop at home. If I go out of town or go to a photography job where I need the laptop with me, I simply put it into a laptop-safe pocket in a camera bag. That said, I do have the occasional need for something more than nothing. That’s why I’m glad I found the Harber London Slim Microfibre MacBook Sleeve.
DETAILS
The MacBook Sleeve is part of the Microfibre product line that Harber London recently launched. It features a super slim design and fits the MacBook like a glove. It’s meant to keep bulk to a minimum and it’s made exclusively with 100% wool felt and microfibre. The front and back are made of this soft microfibre while the lining is 100% wool felt.
Wool is a natural fiber that is harvested from sheep. It’s renewable and eco-friendly. The fabric is highly saturated, non-woven, cannot be pulled apart, and won’t fray. It is anti-static – so it’s ideal for protecting electronics. The microfibre is also moisture resistant and self-extinguishing. It also naturally repels soiling and is soft to the touch.
The cases are handmade in Spain by expert craftsmen. The Slim Microfibre MacBook Sleeve is designed for all modern models of MacBooks including:
- MacBook Air 13″ (2018 / 2021): 32.5 x 23 cm | 12.79 x 9.05″
- MacBook Pro 13″ (2016 / 2021): 32.5 x 23 cm | 12.79 x 9.05″
- MacBook Pro 14″ (2021): 33.8 x 24.8 cm | 13.30 x 9.76″
- MacBook Pro 15″ (2012 / 2015): 38.5 x 27 cm | 15.15 x 10.62″
- MacBook Pro 16″ (2019 / 2020): 38.5 x 27 cm | 15.15 x 10.62″
- MacBook Pro 16″ (2021): 38.5 x 27 cm | 15.15 x 10.62″
USER EXPERIENCE
The MacBook Sleeve arrived in a fashionable Harber London package. They really have a way of making a user feel special. All their products are sent to customers as if they were wrapped for Christmas. They use a thick wrapping paper and with the sleeve, they folded it as if it were an envelope around the case. The flap of the envelope was closed with a sticker that had Harber London’s logo on it.
On the inside of the paper envelope, the sleeve was wrapped with matching tissue paper. It all felt very exclusive and first-class. I like little touches like this because it adds to the customer experience and makes the end-user feel special.
When I got the sleeve out of its packaging, I took a quick all-around look at it. There is a small place on the front of the sleeve where the Harber London logo is stamped into the microfibre and the back is completely plain. Customers have the option of personalizing the sleeve with a text or an image upload. This is, of course, an extra charge. The inside has the wool felt lining, which is soft to protect the surface of the laptop, but I was sort of hoping it would also be the soft microfibre.
The microfibre collection is a departure from Harber London’s all-leather product line, but I like the variation in the materials that it seems the company is starting to use. In addition to leather and soft microfibre, Harber London also utilizes wool felt, German microfibre (synthetic suede), cotton twill, and recycled plastic bottle fabric.
Even though the edges of the sleeve are technically unfinished, they have a polished look to them. I’ve been using this sleeve for a couple of weeks now and haven’t noticed any issues with the edges fraying. My 2021 MacBook Pro fits into the sleeve perfectly. The opening is wide enough for it to just slide in without any problems. What’s really nice is that I feel that the laptop is secure when it’s inside the sleeve, too.
Even though the fit may not suit everyone, this is designed specifically to be a ‘tight’ fit. There is no closure on the sleeve so I like the idea that it’s a more secure fit to hold the laptop in place. There is no additional space for accessories, but I would see this sleeve being a good option for protection for a MacBook when it is inside another bag.
CONCLUSION
The Harber London Slim Microfibre MacBook Sleeve is a one-of-a-kind MacBook sleeve that provides a stylish, secure case for Apple’s signature laptop. While the design of this sleeve may not appeal to every type of user, it is ideal for a minimalist.
The only big con that this accessory has is its price. It retails for £69.00 ($86 USD) at the time of publishing. I’m a fan of Harber London and the products they produce, I just wish the pricing structure was a little friendlier. The classic elegance of this Sleeve is the perfect complement to the MacBook.
